You can access PCC using the following URL: https://projectadmin.lfx.linuxfoundation.org/ You will get the access_denied message if you are accessing the link for the first time. Meetings:
Meetings v2 FAQ (Launched 5/17/2023)
Do all members of a scheduled meeting need to join with an LF account?
No. If members without an LF login are added to a meeting, they will receive an invite in which they will be directed to either register for an LF account or join as guests. Note: If the meeting is 'restricted', then they may only join with the invited email either as a guest or logged into their LF account.
What happens if an invitee doesn't receive an invite for a scheduled meeting?
The user will get the invite on their primary account's email address unless the user configured a preferred email address to receive the meeting invitations.
How long can my meeting be?
The max length for a meeting scheduled in the PCC is 10 hours.
How many people can I invite to my meeting?
The max participants for a meeting scheduled in the PCC is 500. You can open a support ticket to request up to 1000 participants.
When inviting participants to a recurring meeting, is there any possibility of changing the "added as" field to something different than just "guest"?
Guest means, effectively, “not a committee member”.
What does the "You have a legacy project-dedicated Zoom account which are not represented in the list of meetings displayed below" message means?
Before LFX Meetings, projects could add dedicated Zoom accounts to use for meetings. These are considered legacy accounts which incur a monthly cost billed to the project. This is deprecated in favor of LFX Meetings, and you should only use dedicated Zoom accounts if your project has not yet moved to LFX Meetings.
How can a user who has joined a Zoom meeting via phone call mute or unmute themselves?
The following command can be entered via DTMF tones using your phone's dial pad while in a Zoom meeting:
- *6 - Toggle mute/unmute
For more Zoom commands via Zoom phone call, please check the following link: "Joining a Zoom meeting by phone"
If we do have an account and log in to a meeting, can we opt out of having the meetings we join be tracked GDPR / CCPA / etc. compliance?
Currently, no, we don’t have an opt-out button, but we can go back and wipe any data requested after the fact.
Error message scheduling a meeting in PCC
If you are getting the following error message when scheduling a meeting:
"Failed to load DataLake. For further assistance, please contact support here."
Is because you are trying to schedule a meeting on the PCC version 1. Keep in mind that we already have version 2 for the PCC. You can switch to version 2 by clicking the link in the bottom left of any PCC page.
Mailing Lists:
Can I change the name of a mailing list?
Currently, you'll have to submit a ticket to perform a name change of a mailing list for your project in the PCC. Get Help With The PCC
Can I invite a mailing list to a meeting?
Yes, when scheduling a meeting, under Participants is a section to add a mailing list to the meeting. Please note, this is capped to lists of 200 people or less.
How can I enable mailing lists coming from googlegroups.com when scheduling meetings with the platform?
Google Groups is not yet supported — there is a tab to indicate “coming soon” but it has since been de-prioritized. We’re hoping to add it back in 2024.
Committees:
How can people tell if I'm a committee member for a project?
Your membership to a committee will be listed on your Individual Dashboard (Profile). Log in to openprofile.dev and you will see your involvement listed under Community Roles.
What happens when I don't see my project role(s) listed on my Individual Dashboard (Profile)?
These are committee roles that are assigned in the PCC. Have your LF Program Manager add you to a committee.
I want to associate a committee from one project to a subproject's mailing list. Can I do that?
We don’t support cross-project associations. Example - If there was a committee in a parent project but the mailing list was in a subproject, one would have to move the mailing lists up to parent project or move the committee to the subproject.
I want to move a subcommittee back into a normal committee?
From the ellipsis (manage) on the subcommittee you want to move, select the 'detach' option. This will move the subcommittee into a normal committee.
