When did meetings v2 go live?

Meetings v2 went live 5/17/2023 at 5pm PST

Are existing meetings converted to v2?

All meetings were converted to v2 meetings (new invites and calendar updates were sent out).

Can v2 meeting links be shared?

Yes, v2 meeting links are not specific to the user. (users will not be able to join a restricted meeting unless they are invited to the meeting)

Can I use my old meeting link (v1) to join an existing meeting?

No, all meetings will have a new join link that was emailed out to all users when v2 went live (calendars should have updated with new links).

Do I need a Linux Foundation account to join a meeting?

If it is a public meeting, anyone can join using the guest option (putting in a name is required). If it is a restricted meeting, the user must join with the email or LF account that was invited.

Can users join the meeting early?

The meeting will become available to join 10 minutes before scheduled start time. 

Is there a limit to the amount of participants?

The maximum amount of users that can join a meeting is 500.Â
