EasyCLA is managed for the project in the Project Control Center.

Creating a new CLA group for your project

Prerequisites:
The project must be hosted by The Linux Foundation and be Active.

The project's source control must be managed by The Linux Foundation. We are unable to instrument EasyCLA on private repositories or on GitHub organizations owned by a company.

If the code is in GitHub, add the GitHub organization to the project's Source Control section. Invite the GitHub user 'thelinuxfoundation'  as an OWNER on the org.

The project must consult with The Linux Foundation's formation/legal team to make sure the charter and CLA documents are reviewed and approved for EasyCLA use. They can be reached at formation@linuxfoundation.org.

Once you've consulted with the formation team, use the PCC to create the CLA group and install the EasyCLA bot on the repositories. Be sure to create the group on the correct project level - foundation, child project, spec project are examples. Any questions about where to install the CLA group should be referred to the formation team.

If the project and formation team decide to use a 'custom' CLA, meaning a CLA that does not use the standard template preloaded into the PCC, then the project and formation team must provide the complete and FINAL ICLA and/or CCLA in PDF format to the support team to manually load. Any questions about what should go into the CLA document should be directed to the formation team. The support team will review the documents for any irregularities, but the support team will not make any changes to the documents themselves.
