The Individual Dashboard prompts the users to connect their GitHub and LinkedIn accounts to receive a 50% discount coupon for LF training or certification.
However, there are major conditions for this to apply:
- The user must have at least one contribution to an LF open source project in order to qualify. They must show data in the Contributions section of their profile.
- This is a one-time reward and a user can get a maximum of 500 reward points.
- If a user already has 500 reward points applied to their profile or have been previously rewarded 500 points, they will not qualify for this new 500 points.
- A user should complete the following steps in order:
- Connect their Github account. The user can connect as many Github accounts as they would like but the reward point will be granted only once per an identity.
- Populate their work history by connecting their LinkedIn Account.
- Successfully completing their project affiliations. The prerequisite is that the user has some code contributions (at least 1) that they can affiliate to some organizations or as Individual.
- The reward points are awarded to a single LF profile.
- The coupon for the 50% off is generated as soon as the above conditions are met.
