Known Issue

If you are trying to use 500 points to redeem a coupon and it is saying coupon code invalid, try these steps.

  1. Review the Tux FAQ to make sure you meet the requirements.
  2. Log in to https://openprofile.dev/ in incognito mode from your browser.
  3. Go to coupons from here and try to make a new coupon while in the incognito mode.
  4. Use the new coupon code provided to purchase the product. 


If these steps do not work, while in your profile select the Get Help Icon at the top right of the page and send us a support ticket to help resolve the issue.

How long will it take for my points to show up after I make a purchase?

Once you make a purchase that qualifies for Tux Rewards points, it may take up to 72 hours for the points to show up in your portal account.

How do I become a Tux Rewards member?

Are my Tux Rewards points transferable?

Yes, you can transfer your points to another individual.  When you redeem your coupon, simply provide the coupon code to your colleague or friend to use when they register.

If I connect my Github and Linked accounts in my Individual Dashboard, do I qualify for the 50% off discount?

If you connect your Github and Linkedin accounts to your Individual Dashboard, you might qualify for the discount of LF training or certification.  There are two stipulations for this:

  1. Your account must not have previously received reward points.
  2. Your account must have at least one commit or contribution to any of the Linux Foundation projects.
