Note - If the email address you are attempting to add is already associated with another account, you will be prompted to open a 'Merge' request with the support team HERE.  The prompt you will see is that the account already exists.  When you try to reset the password for it, however, it says that the email account doesn't exist.

What is a merge request and what does it do?

A merge request is when you have multiple accounts that you want merged into one.  This sometimes happens when you register for an event with an email that you have not associated with a username.

A merge example:

As an example, say you have two email address in the system but only have one username:

  1.  Email address:  mo1@yahoo.com
Username:  (no username tied to this email)
  2. Email address:  mo2@yahoo.com
    Username:  mo2username

In the above example, we would merge mo1@yahoo.com into the primary account of mo2@yahoo.com (with the username of mo2username).  After the merge, in the Individual Dashboard (located here), mo1@yahoo.com would be listed as an alternate email on your account.

Stipulations:

Please note that you can merge two accounts with usernames.  Some stipulations are that would prevent a merge are:

  1.  There are training or purchases on both accounts.  This will prevent it because the account you are merging from would be lost.  So if you have active training, certifications or exams on the account you are merging from, all would be lost.
